"GO"

I am so excited to write and to speak with you tonight because I am talking about God’s Word and every time His Word is present it is always a awesome time!
(take a look to your right....... now to your left....... we are all different. our faces, bodies, personalities, way of thinking, way of growing up, but we are all here for one reason.......God! and i want you to know if you ever have questions about His Word that I am always here for you or if you are having a bad/good day/week i am always here for you.  I want everyone to have a Bible! if you do not have one I want to put one into your hand so please let me know as soon as possible.  I want you to have one because I care so much for you!  I want you to know how much you are loved just as love was shown for me from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  I want you to know who He is and I want you to know life!
Today I am starting a new series(starting with an overview and then more in depth next week)  called GO! (can everyone say that word with me? ..... 1.2.3. Go!   one more time.... 1.2.3 GO!)  Two letters that rocked my world as I read through scriptures and I felt I needed to share with all of you!
In your personal life has anyone of you found out something that right away after you found out you had to tell someone about it?........ When thinking about that question I can think about a time in high school when I went through a semester with straight A’s.  When I received my final grades from my school I couldn’t wait to go tell my parents.  My parents were so excited and told me to go tell my brother, sister, and relatives. Something I thought was pretty cool blew up to everyone knowing. It was a lasting effect because with the grades I received in high school lead into getting into college.
With that being said let us open scripture to Matthew 28:19 which states: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”  That sentence was told by Jesus to His eleven disciple.  Jesus was already crucified and His human flesh was gone....  Can you believe this????.... After living on this earth.... hated by so many.... tortured by so many.... ridiculed by so many.... continued to love and wanted everyone to know the truth after His human body was dead.  Let us read this sentence in Scripture one more time and with more gusto: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy spirit!  This is a lasting impact Jesus entrusted onto the disciples.... This was not a time to just meet up with Jesus and to come and prove that He had gone to Heaven... This was for a reason.. Jesus wanted people to know.
Let us continue to verse 20: Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you and be sure of this:  I am with you always even to the end of the age.
Wow!
One of the key points I want to hit before I end is this: Jesus is not finished.
He was there in the beginning of time, He was there on the Mountain where He met with the 11 disciples, and He is here right now.  He wanted the disciples to know what He wants us to know and that is that He will always be with you always even to the end of the age!
Brothers and sisters of Christ at the beginning I stressed about the importance of having a Bible so if you need one let me know.
These scriptures were entrusted to us for a reason.  This book is different from any other books out there.  This is truth, this is life. I know it... you know it.... but your neighbor might not.... your co-workers might not... your family might not... a stranger that you have never meet might not...
I am here as a servant of Jesus Christ telling you to “Go” and make disciples and to spread the Good news of Jesus Christ.
Prayer: God we thank you for this day you have given us!  I thank you for the opportunity to share your Word with everyone! Lord I pray you are with each and everyone of us here.  I pray that you work through us Lord and I pray you use us in your will.  We love you Lord and we want to reach our  brothers and sisters out there who do not know who you are.  whether it is a co-worker or a family Lord we pray you will be by our side as we head into any situation.  we love you with all of our hearts
In your glorious name
Amen
God Bless

A New Season of Whispers from God

John 15:4-17

4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me.

5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. 6 Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. 7 But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! 8 When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. This brings great glory to My Father.

9 “I have loved you even as the Father has loved Me. Remain in My love. 10 When you obey My commandments, you remain in My love, just as I obey My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. 11 I have told you these things so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! 12 This is My commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. 13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are My friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are My friends, since I have told you everything the Father told Me. 16 You didn’t choose Me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. 17 This is My command: Love each other.”

The question God convicted me of last night was this: If we aren’t changing, turning more into the likeness of Christ, then how does that help others? How do we change the world? How will God ever be glorified through our lives? It can’t. We can’t! He can’t!!! God reminded me that we must be continually be surrendering to His Will and opening our heart to Him if we ever plan to make a difference in the lives of others for Christ. We are nothing without Him. Without His love.

God’s Word says, “We love because He first loved us.” – 1 John 4:19

Christ is the ultimate source of love. Unless we are in His Word and on our knees in humble prayer, we cannot see His face and we cannot be overwhelmed with His love for others.

We ask, “Where is the love in this world?  Where is the compassion?”

The answer is that we have left it at the foot of the Cross. The love we are looking for is the love God intended for us to extend to others.  Sadly, for generations we, yes even us believers, have continued to turn our backs on the one true God, our Father and Creator.  We have rebelled against His commands and against His guidance, while chasing after life on our own terms.  As a result, we have ultimately caused our own pain and destruction.

But God says we can do life another way. In John 15 (the first Bible passage I used in this devotional) we see the promise God made for us even before He created us. He says that if we seek Him above all else and draw close to Him, He will be with us. He will fill the deepest places of our hearts and transform us to become more like Him.

The question remains…

How long will we refuse His love?

…..How long will YOU?
